Donald Hiebel of Bloomington recently took a trip down memory lane when he came across a silver platter he had tucked away for years. Hiebel, who grew up in Lake Mary Township near Alexandria, received the Park Region Echo-sponsored award in 1943 for having the Grand Champion 4-H
Club Dairy Calf at the Douglas County Fair. Hiebel was a member of the Oak Grove 4-H Club.
