Scandinavian arts, crafts on display in Evansville
The Evansville Art Center is hosting a Scandinavian Arts and Crafts exhibit during May.
The Evansville Art Center is hosting a Scandinavian Arts and Crafts exhibit during May.
The exhibit includes a large collection of Scandinavian fiber arts on loan from Karen Aakre, Northern Sweden arts and crafts, and Finnish fiber arts.
There is also a display of rosemaling, courtesy of Carol Cheeseman and Bonita Hyer. Hyer will demonstrate the art of rosemaling on Saturday, May 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, the Free Lending Library is now open on Monday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m.
