New gourmet coffee shop opens

A new gourmet coffee shop is open in downtown Alexandria.

Sweet Seasons Coffee Shop is located at 507 Broadway and features lattes, mochas, blended coffees, fruit smoothies and many other specialty drinks.

It also serves three different kinds of scones, three varieties of snack breads and fresh baked cookies made right in the store.

Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

A seating area has been added to the store for customers to sit and relax while they enjoy their treat. There will also be some seating outside for those gorgeous summer afternoons.

As always, Sweet Seasons continues as a home decorating one-stop-shop, according to owners Nancy Tillman and Brooke Tillman-Sievers.
