The West Central Area softball team rallied from four runs down in the seventh inning on Tuesday night to beat Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 7-6.
The Knights used a little help from the Thunder to push across the winning run. Melissa Vikesland struck out with what would have been the final out and given LPGE the win. The ball got away from the catcher though, and allowed Vikesland to reach base and the tying run to come in and score.
West Central Area took advantage of another LPGE error in the following at-bat. Eighth grader Abby Oberg hit a ground ball to third that was bobbled as Lynette Engler came in with the winning run.
Doranna Blascyk had a big game for the Knights. She went the distance to pick up the win and helped herself out at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored.
