Are you getting interviews, but not job offers? Attend a Jobs and Java session and find out how to get “outside the box” and stand out in the crowd with an electronic portfolio.
The Alexandria WorkForce Center’s “Jobs and Java” sessions take place every Tuesday at 10 a.m.
During these informal gatherings, participants can meet human resource representatives and hear first hand about their hiring processes. They can also learn about area companies and their products and services.
The sessions will also offer helpful information on completing job applications, resumes and cover letters, interview “dos and don’ts,” and follow-up strategies.
An informal presentation on “Outside the Box Job Searching: eFolio” will be featured on Tuesday, May 15 at 10 a.m.
The “Jobs and Java” sessions are held at the Alexandria WorkForce Center, 303 22nd Avenue West, (320) 762-7800. They are open to the public. There is no charge or registration needed. Coffee will be provided.
