Bike rodeo promotes youth safety
The Alexandria Bike Safety Rodeo has returned, and is bigger and better than ever.
The Alexandria Bike Safety Rodeo has returned, and is bigger and better than ever.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) indoor tactical warehouse in the law enforcement building.
Officers from the Alexandria Police Department will provide instruction, and staff from The Bike and Fitness Company will perform free five-point safety checks on children’s bikes.
A free lunch will be provided by Subway and Culver’s. There will also be free bike and helmet giveaways throughout the event.
The event is presented by the Alexandria Police Department, Noon Kiwanis Club of Alexandria, The Bike and Fitness Company and ATCC.
