Boys' golf: Ashby's Moe is medalist, Osakis third

J.P. Moe of Ashby earned medalist honors as he shot a round of 37 and edged out Kaleb Thalmann of Ottertail Central in a scorecard playoff.

The Arrows finished third overall behind Ortonville and OTC.

Minnewaska finished fourth overall in the West Central North Conference boys’ golf meet Thursday as Derek Byrd fired a team-best 41.

Melrose won the meet as Brady Schultzenberg medaled with a 35.

The Osakis boys’ golf team continued to play some serious golf, finishing third at the Central Minnesota Conference meet at Maple Lake, remaining in the lead in the conference race.

Paul Hartmann continued to play well, finishing with a 43, and Troy Asseln shot a 44.
