New business filings in Minnesota up again in April
Secretary of State Mark Ritchie announced that new business filings for 2012 are up for the fourth straight month compared to the previous year.
Secretary of State Mark Ritchie announced that new business filings for 2012 are up for the fourth straight month compared to the previous year.
“This continued growth in new business filings is more good economic news for all Minnesotans,” said Secretary of State Mark Ritchie. “We are on track for a near record year.”
Overall new business filings for the month of April show a 23 percent increase when compared to the previous year. Limited Liability Company (LLC) filings, the most common legal structure for new business in Minnesota, increased by almost 22 percent over the same period a year ago.
