Boysen leads knights

West Central Area’s Tiffany Boysen posted a round of 47 to pace the Knight girls’ golf team in its seventh place finish at Frazee Tuesday.

“Tiffany Boysen was very excited about her game,” said head coach Kari Kreft. “She averaged a bogey round, which is great. She was just out of the running for a medal with her 47.”

The Knights also got rounds of 58 from Marissa Hayward and Katie Larkin.

“Katie broke into the 50s again and managed to take another stroke off her game,” said Kreft. “We would love to see that continue. It is fun to see her feeling confident about her golf game.”

West Central Area was without the services of Morgan Grove and McKenzie Hunter. Filling those spots were Vessa Bumgardner with a 69 and Hailey Kreft at 73.

“It was fun to see some others step up to the bat,” said the Knight coach. “Vessa is making good, steady contact with the ball.”
