David Everett, 50

David DeWain Everett was born to Gigi and DeWain Everett on June 23, 1961 at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis.

David passed away in Osakis on April 20, 2012.

David spent his early years in Fridley, where the family resided. He attended Woodcrest Elementary School. When David was 12 years old, the family moved to rural Anoka, where they resided through 1995. David attended Jackson Junior High and Anoka Senior High through 1979.

David was so interested in purchasing a truck that he found a job working after school and at age 16, purchased his first truck, “Old Blue,” which was his pride and joy. He enjoyed snowmobiling with his friends in rural Anoka and many fishing trips with his buddies on Lake of the Woods, Upper Red Lake, Mille Lacs, and any smaller lake where “the fishin’ was good.” David was employed at La Machine for many years.

When David was 23, he married his neighborhood girlfriend, Vicki, in September 1984. The couple resided in St. Francis and Anoka and this union was blessed with three beautiful daughters, Brittany, Savannah and Olivia. The couple later divorced.

David lived in Becker before moving to Alexandria in 2006. He worked for Columbia Gear in Avon and Lind Rite Precision Inc. in Osakis from July 2, 2007, until his death.

David is survived by his parents, Gigi Everett of Hinckley and DeWain Everett of Osakis; brother, Daniel of St. Francis; sisters, Heidi (Emil) Towner of St. Joseph and Heather (Joe) Michels of Alexandria; daughters, Brittany (Eric) Davis of Isanti, Savannah Martinson of Aitkin, Olivia Everett Voss of Cambridge; five grandsons, Andrew, Adam, Preston, Alex and Carter; nieces, Rochelle and Jasmine; nephews, Branden, Brody, Boothe, Ethyn, Kaden, Dawson and Daymon; aunts and uncles, Bob (R’Dene) Everett of Mounds View, Ruth (Joe) Murray of Maple Grove, Linda (Ron) Kuehl of Andover, Nancy Nord of Alexandria; and numerous cousins and many childhood friends. David will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Melina Axtell and Bernice and Christian Everett.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, April 28 at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
