Hazing incident in Browerville under investigation

The Todd County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible hazing incident involving boys' athletic programs at Browerville High School.

The allegations involve inappropriate physical contact that "could be considered sexual in nature," according to Sheriff Peter Mikkelson.

In the initial investigation, possible witnesses to the incident were identified, according to the sheriff's office. After interviewing those witnesses, deputies discovered that there may be other potential victims.

A lengthy investigation is being conducted into the allegations, according to Sheriff Mikkelson. "Through the investigation, it has been determined that there are multiple suspects and multiple victims," he stated in a news release.

A press conference is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Long Prairie. No further information is being released until then.
