Free child ID event at mall Saturday, April 28

New York Life Insurance will host a free children’s identification event at Viking Plaza Mall in association with Youth Day this Saturday, April 28.

The event will offer fun activities for parents and children while teaching lessons about how to stay safe at home, at play and in the community.

All children accompanied by a parent or guardian will receive a complimentary identification card, complete with emergency contact information, a photograph and fingerprints.

Child safety is one of the primary concerns of parents today. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an estimated 800,000 children are reported missing each year – that’s more than 2,000 children every day.

Child identification is a step parents can take to help protect their children.
