The Ashby baseball team fell 6-3 to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley on Monday night.
Reed Hanson gave the Arrows six innings but took the loss after scattering eight hits and three walks. He struck out seven before Tanner Langlie came on in the seventh and pitched a scoreless inning to finish off the game.
Ashby cleaned things up on defense with two errors after committing seven in the previous game. The Arrows couldn’t get the bats going, though, as they collected only five hits on the night. Langlie and Morgan Wing had two of those hits, while Riley Mickelson had a hit and two RBIs.
“One of our biggest problems continues to be our lack of hitting, which has plagued us since the beginning of the season,” assistant coach Blaine Barry said. “We collected only five hits, and that’s not going to win many games.”

The Lakers will be at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle today, Friday, and will host Benson on Monday.
