DOUGLAS COUNTY LEC TOWER

Sealed bids for the construction of the Douglas County LEC Tower will be received until 2:00 p.m. on May 18, 2012 at the Douglas County Auditor/Treasurer Office, 305 8th Ave W, Alexandria MN 56308, at which time and place they will be opened in public.

The project scope of work generally consists of the construction of a new communications tower at the Douglas County Law Enforcement Center. The work includes the construction of a new 100 foot tapered galvanized steel monopole communication tower, including installation of all associated hardware, foundation system, antenna mounts (including microwave mounts), and grounding systems as detailed in the plans and specifications. All microwave dishes and associated waveguide will be provided and installed by Others. All other antennas and associated feedlines shall be provided and installed as part of the project. Site work associated with the project includes installation of underground feedline conduits to the LEC building, metal fabricated coax enclosure at the base of the tower and other general site improvements associated with the construction of the tower.

Copies of the contract documents, including plans, specifications, bidding instructions, proposals and plan holder’s list shall be obtained through the office of the Engineer, Edge Consulting Engineers, Inc. of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. Bidders shall request bid documents and express interest in the project through the online form at Edge Consulting’s web site: http://edgeconsult.com/bids/. Bidders shall also refer to this location for any issued addenda prior to submitting a bid.

Copies of the contract documents, including plans, specifications, bidding instructions, and proposals may also be viewed at the Douglas County Court House, 809 Elm Street, Alexandria, MN between the hours of 8-4:30, Monday through Friday.
