Alpha Pi Phi chapter asks guests to bring food, books to ATCC graduationYou can help. All food and books collected will be donated to local agencies to help those in need.
The Alpha Pi Phi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Alexandria Technical and Community College will participate in “Project Graduation…Feed a Body, Feed a Mind.” This initiative is designed to help alleviate hunger and illiteracy in the community.
Graduating students and their guests are asked to bring non-perishable food items or children’s books to the college graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. Donation drop-off sites will be positioned at the entrances near the Jefferson High School gym, where the ceremony is taking place.
The books will be given to Someplace Safe and the food will be donated to the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf.
