Public invited to discuss county-wide funding

The boards of directors of the Lakes Area Economic Development Commission and Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission invite citizens and non-resident business owners of Douglas County to a series of public meetings.

The meetings will focus on the expansion of the Lakes Area Economic Development Authority to a county-wide funding vehicle to support local economic development efforts.

The current and future activities of economic development in Douglas County will be discussed and questions from attendees will be addressed.

Meeting options include:

• Wednesday, May 2 at 6 p.m. at the Miltona Community Center, 300 County Road 14, Miltona.

• Monday, May 7 at 6 p.m. at Alexandria City Hall, 704 Broadway, Alexandria.

• Wednesday, May 23 at 6 p.m. at the Brandon Community Center, 105 Holmes Avenue, Brandon.
