B-E girls' basketball: Strese named Class A MVP in All-Star game
Brandon-Evansville senior Heather Strese was named the Class A MVP for her performance at the Minnesota Girls’ Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game this past weekend.
Strese scored 12 points in the opening game last Friday to help lead her team to the championship game on Saturday. She added 10 more points in the title game as her team fell short by just two points.
Ten of the top players from all four classes were invited to play in the all-star games. Players from each class were divided up onto four different teams and an MVP was named from each class at the end of the weekend.
Strese held her own against a lot of girls who will be playing at the Division I level next season. She will join her sister, Megan, at Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
