Card boys' tennis: Brainerd blanks Alexandria 7-0
Two matches go to three sets
Brainerd handed the Alexandria tennis team a 7-0 loss on the Cardinals’ home courts last Thursday night.
Alexandria was without Trevor Grandgenett, who was out with a sprained ankle. That moved everyone up a spot in the singles lineup as Mack Wadi took on the challenge of the first singles spot. He fought hard against DJ Kraemer, winning the first set, but eventually fell 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Mark Kallevig forced a third set as well at third singles. He won the second against Luke Jacobsen but fell 6-3 in the third. The Warriors took every other match in straight sets to secure the Central Lakes Conference win.
