UPDATE THURSDAY: Reward now offered in burglary at Karrow Jewelers

A $1,000 reward has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the Karrow Jewelers' burglary on Broadway.
The Alexandria Police Department reported at 10:56 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, the front door to Karrow Jewelers on Broadway was broken and more than $10,000 worth of gold, silver and jewels were taken from the store.
Glass from display cases littered the floor. There was a considerable amount of damage, police said.
Items taken were new retail items and consisted of rings, necklaces, watches and jewels.
The store was not occupied at the time of the burglary. Personal items in the store are held in a secure location and are safe.
The Alexandria Police Department is currently investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at (320) 763-6631.
