Team Dittberner wins curling championship

Team Dittberner took home the Vikingland Curling Club championship in the six-week tournament that was recently wrapped up.

Dittberner, consisting of Craig Erickson, Chris Erickson, Lori Zmuda and Troy Dittberner, beat out Team Timmerman (Eric Timmerman, Dan Hilback, Josh Boyer, Scott Threinen), who finished in second place.

The team of Jason Lattimer, Dennis Cuchna, Lars Nelson and Twyla Anderson rounded out the top three with the bronze medal.

Dittberner also finished with the record in the regular season at 8-1-2. Caps Curling Crew and Timmerman followed with 8-3 records.

The Vikingland Curling Club just ended its seventh season. The club consists of 12 teams and 68 members and will hold Learn to Curl clinics this coming September and October. To sign up for the league’s newsletter, e-mail info@vikinglandcurling.org.
