The Alexandria Blizzard saw its season come to an end in a heartbreaking fashion last night as the Bruins won 3-2 in game four to take the series three games to one.
The Blizzard trailed 2-0 after two periods, but Dylan Zink and Tucker Coborn scored goals within the first two and a half minutes of the third period to tie things at two apiece. That's how things went late in the period before Austin's Nolan Kirley scored at 18:03. That proved to be the game winner as the Bruins held on down the stretch.
Goaltender Tyler Bruggeman got all three wins of the series for Austin. He had another big night on Saturday, stopping 38 of 40 shots. The Blizzard's Jacob Meyers took the loss after halting 27 of the 30 shots he saw.
