Ghost truck driver located

A Redwood Falls man has been identified as the driver of a semi that knocked out power to the south end of Alexandria on April 6.

A Redwood Falls man has been identified as the driver of a semi that knocked out power to the south end of Alexandria on April 6.

Todd Serbus, 41, was driving a semi that hit a transformer in the parking lot of Plaza Liquor.

The Alexandria Police Department credits the cooperation of local businesses and video surveillance in locating Serbus. Continued investigation on the case also revealed additional evidence to the identity of the driver. The semi was found vacant without license plates around 10 p.m. on April 6.

Serbus was issued a citation and charged with misdemeanor charges including: leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving after disqualification of CDL and driving after revocation.
