Martin is perhaps best known for being instrumental in the creation of the “Church Basement Ladies” musicals. She and co-author Suzann Nelson have created a number of books as well as writing books on her own. Martin’s programs are nostalgic in nature. Her stories are geared to bring back memories of growing up in rural settings and will no doubt bring lots of smiles and laughter.
This is an event that is open to everyone. You don’t have to be a Farm Bureau member or even a farmer to attend. In addition to the speaker, the Farm Bureau Federations sponsor a live auction that raises scholarship funds for local young people to attend Red White and You Camp and other scholarship programs.
The social time begins at 5:30 p.m. and the meal follows at about 6:15 p.m. The cost for the meal and entertainment is $15 if you reserve your ticket by April 16 or $17.50 at the door. Call Cathy at (320) 763-4442 for reservations and information. Seating is limited.
