Papa Murphy's moves to new location

Starting today, April 11, Alexandria residents can find Papa Murphy’s Take’ N’ Bake Pizza in its new larger home at 915 Broadway across from Walgreens.

Papa Murphy’s has been a staple in the Alexandria community for more than 10 years. The company opened its first store in the greater Minneapolis area 14 years ago and today boasts 88 locations in the state of Minnesota.

Papa Murphy’s will make up approximately 1,400 square feet of the building previously owned by Cenex and is looking for one or two additional tenants to complement the Papa Murphy’s brand. About 3,800 square feet remain.

Local franchise owner Joel Meyer said he’s excited about the increased speed of service that he says will result from the new Alexandria store.

“We’ll be able to service customers quicker because we have more room, especially in the back where we’re chopping vegetables and mixing dough, and customers will now have the convenience of a drive-up window,” Meyer said. “Plus, parking was limited before; now we have more than two dozen spots.”

Papa Murphy’s has more than 1,300 locations in the U.S. and Canada and is widely acknowledged by consumers for excellence in value, quality, variety, service and convenience.

The company was ranked “Number One Rated Pizza Chain” in the U.S. for the past two years by consumers on Zagat’s annual Fast Food Survey.
