The Alexandria Blizzard split the first two games with the Austin Bruins this past weekend to send the Central Division series back to Austin in a 1-1 tie.
The Bruins won 4-2 on Friday night to take an early advantage before Alexandria responded with a convincing 5-0 win on Saturday night. Former Moorhead standout Michael Bitzer got the start in goal for the Blizzard and earned the shutout with 32 saves. Jordan Krebsbach scored twice for Alexandria. Reid Sturos, Craig Lindegard and Seth Ronsberg all added goals as well to help the Blizzard run away with things.
The best-of-five series will play games three and four on Friday and Saturday night. If necessary, a game five would be back in Alexandria this Sunday.
