Lakes Area Theatre to be overtaken by beings from 'The Tenth Planet'

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:

ON STAGE

Science fiction fans take note! This Friday, April 6 at 7 p.m. The Tenth Planet takes the stage. "They" know our strengths and weaknesses on planet Earth. And "they" know they will conquer the earth. It's only a matter of time before "they" come en masse from the 10th planet.

Find out more about "them" by coming to this fun, campy and spooky show. It is directed by Quincy Roers and stars Tim Long, Becky Byrne, Ben Klipfel, Bruce Wegner and Haley Wegner. Lindsey Johnston provides sound effects.

ON THE AIR

Shakespeare penned the question, "What's in a name?" in Romeo and Juliet. He went on… "that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

Juliet Capulet was referring to Romeo Montague with those words. That's all well and good if your name is Montague. But what if it’s The Bickersons? Their name says it all.

On Sunday, April 8 at 12:30 p.m. listen to the latest bickering by The Bickersons on KXRA 1490 AM.

The show was directed by Claudia Bursch and stars Kip Sundlee, Patty Wicken, Benjamin Roers and Haley Wegner. Music is by Bob Piotrowski, with Bruce Wegner performing sound effects.
