NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT
IMPROVEMENTS
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the Alexandria City Council will meet in the City Council Chambers of the Alexandria City Hall, 704 Broadway, at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012, to consider creating a special assessment district for the purpose of providing and improving off-street parking facilities in downtown Alexandria, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 459.14.
The improvement projects are the reconstruction of the municipal parking lots located adjacent to Hawthorne Street/Fifth Avenue and adjacent to (north of) Seventh Avenue between Broadway Street and Hawthorne Street. The area proposed to be assessed for such improvements is bounded by Fourth Avenue, Eighth Avenue, the alley west of Fillmore Street, and the alley east of Hawthorne Street.
The estimated cost of the assessment for the improvements is $284,944.60.
Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.
