Growing knowledge about loons, grafting

A Let’s Get Growing workshop took place at the Alexandria Technical and Community College Saturday featuring keynote speaker, Stan Tekiela, who has spent more than 20 years studying and photographing loons.

In one of the many breakout sessions, “Turning Twigs to Trees,” presenter David Vaske talked about fruit propagation.

The event was sponsored by the University of Minnesota Extension – Douglas County. All proceeds supported Douglas County Master Gardener projects.
