JHS band students selected to Concordia Honor Band Festival
Three Alexandria Jefferson High School (JHS) band members were recently selected to the 2012 Concordia College Honor Band Festival in Moorhead. The festival will take place on the campus of Concordia College March 30 to April 1.
Three Alexandria Jefferson High School (JHS) band members were recently selected to the 2012 Concordia College Honor Band Festival in Moorhead. The festival will take place on the campus of Concordia College March 30 to April 1.
The JHS students selected are Ted Deitz, trombone; Spencer Brand, trumpet; and Sarah Connell, alto sax.
Students selected to the group were chosen based upon a pre-recorded audition that consisted of a minimum of five minutes of contrasting solo literature. The honor band festival hosts 75 of the finest musicians from the Midwest. The honor band will perform a concert on Sunday, April 1 at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Hall in Moorhead.
