SCHOOL ADDITION

UNDERWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT

UNDERWOOD, MINNESOTA

Separate sealed single and/or multiple Prime Bids for General, Mechanical and Electrical Construction Work for the SCHOOL ADDITION – UNDERWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT, Underwood, Minnesota will be received at the Underwood School District ISD #550 located at 100 Southern Ave E, Underwood, MN 56586, until 4:00 P.M., Thursday, April 12, 2012, at which time all qualified bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: The Underwood School District, Underwood, MN, the offices of ARTEKTA Incorporated, Fargo, North Dakota, offices of project Engineers, and Builder’s Exchanges per Planholders List.

Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained by contacting the office of ARTEKTA inc. located in Fargo, North Dakota, phone number (701) 526-3693, fax (701) 526-3694. Upon payment of $100.00 deposit for each set, sets will be posted to requestor. Deposit refunded if set returned in a reusable condition within 10 days after bidding. PDF version of Documents also available free of charge through the “Secure Documents” portal of website: www.artekta.com.

The General Scope of Work consists of: All general, mechanical, and electrical work associated with construction of a classroom addition, with alternate to add a second classroom, totaling approx. 2,690 s.f. at the Underwood School.

A Pre-Bid conference will be held in the Conference Room of the Underwood School at 4:00 pm on April 5, 2012.

Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. If awarded a contract, the successful bidder/s will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond.

All bids shall be sealed, shall contain a bid deposit of the type specified above, and may be posted or filed with the Underwood School District during normal office hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or hand carried to the meeting prior to the scheduled bid opening as specified above. Postal delivered bids shall be the responsibility of the sender to ensure the sealed bid has been received. No Fax bids shall be accepted, submitted forms must be originals. No bidder shall withdraw his bid for at least sixty (60) days following receipt of bids, except with the consent of the Underwood School District. Underwood ISD #550 reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.
