Marriage can be a laughing matter

Video seminar offered to enhance relationships

Laughter isn’t only the best medicine, it can also be the best marriage counselor.

On Saturday, April 28, Chaplains Caring for Companies and House of Prayer Church in Alexandria will host a video seminar “Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage.” By Mark Gungor, a pastor, motivational speaker, writer and musician, the seminar will give married, single and divorced couples a chance to laugh about – and make vital changes to – their relationships.

Facilitated by Aaron and Heather Miller, certified trained presenters from Laugh Your Way Ministries, the video seminar helps couples deal with tough issues in a way that’s fun and nonthreatening.

In the first session, “The tale of two brains,” Gungor will break down walls by making couples laugh about the differences between men and women, emphasizing how marital difficulties can be the result not of a heart problem, but a head problem.

In the second session, “The No. 1 key to incredible sex,” Gungor discusses how the sexual messages of our culture are fundamentally flawed and suggests steps couples can take to achieve a healthy sex life.

In the final session, Gungor teaches, “Why does he/she do that?” and “How to stay married and not kill anybody,” explorations of marital dynamics meant to inspire couples to convert understanding to action.

“Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage” takes place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at House of Prayer Church, 3020 Rosewood Lane in Alexandria. Cost is $18 per person or $35 per couple.

For information or to register, call the church at (320) 762-0828 or register online at www.laughyourway.com/events/2012/04/Alexandria-MN/.
