Alexandria's Douglas Scientific to be honored with award
Douglas Scientific, Inc. of Alexandria has been selected to receive one of the first annual Finance and Commerce “Progress Minnesota” awards, honoring individuals and companies that are driving business and industrial growth and economic development in Minnesota in unique and innovative ways.

“The Progress Minnesota awards program honors entrepreneurs and organizations from across the state who, by their investment of time, energy and ideas, are having a significant impact on job creation, business development, and the economic health of the Twin Cities and the entire state,” said Steve Jahn, publisher of Finance & Commerce, in announcing the firm’s selection.
Douglas Scientific is one of 14 companies and organizations that, along with 12 individuals, will be honored at a “Progress Minnesota” reception to be held April 11 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, with Governor Mark Dayton as invited guest speaker.
