Suspect arrested in connection with home burglaries

Alexandria police arrested a 28-year-old Alexandria man Friday in connection with a string of residential burglaries that occurred in the city recently.

Alexandria police arrested a 28-year-old Alexandria man Friday in connection with a string of residential burglaries that occurred in the city recently.

Cody Pedersen, 28, of Alexandria was charged in Douglas County District Court with 20 different counts involving burglary, criminal damage to property, child endangerment and contributing to the delinquency of a child.

The charges stem from five burglaries that were reported in the North Darling and Scenic Heights area on March 1 and a few days earlier.

His bail, with conditions, was set at $10,000 for each of the five sets of charges against him or a $100,000 bond. He remains in custody at the Douglas County Jail.
