Doege Precision Machining has changed its name to Alexandria Precision Machining and is now a division of Alexandria Industries.
This name change marks the ability of the Alexandria facility to offer their customers an expanded scope of products and services from the five divisions of Alexandria Industries, all with a single call.
“We have a new name, but what’s more exciting for our customers is we now serve as a single source supplier for much more than ferrous and non-ferrous precision machining,” said Brad Hoven, general manager of Alexandria Precision Machining, formerly Doege. “As Alexandria Precision Machining, we have instant access to the complete portfolio of components and products from the other Alexandria Industries divisions. The end result is to simplify both the process and time necessary to deliver a solution to our customer’s entire supply chain needs.”
The location, staff and core products remain the same for the Alexandria facility. In addition, now operating as a division of Alexandria Industries, Alexandria Precision Machining, which has been providing ferrous and non-ferrous precision machining since 1972, will serve as a hub for its customers’ supply chain requirements offering these additional products:
• Customized aluminum extrusions (Alexandria Extrusion).
• Heat transfer products (Alexandria Extrusion South).
• Plastic injection and foam molding (Alexandria Plastics).
• Expanded chemical finishing services (Alexandria Finishing).
• Higher level assemblies, available at multiple facilities.
The change is also significant to the local economy and manufacturing in general as they plan to expand the workforce and add strategic manufacturing capabilities and capacities.
Steve Schabel, director of sales and marketing integration for Alexandria Industries said, “As our customers continue to rebound from the economic challenges of the past, we continue to gain momentum and expect further growth as a result of strategic initiatives, niche markets and being a leader in customer service.
“The company is dedicated to growing the business significantly and Alexandria Industries considers Alexandria Precision Machining an important part of that plan,” Schabel added.
Alexandria Industries employs nearly 500 people across its five divisions.
A new website www.alexandriaindustries.com demonstrates the entire portfolio of customized engineered products and services.
The companies of Alexandria Industries have further simplified supply chain management by instructing customers to list Alexandria Industries as the sole supplier. Customers make one call, eliminating the need to manage multiple suppliers for different products.
