Fire damages barn near Melby
Fire caused extensive damage to a barn east of Melby Tuesday night.
Fire caused extensive damage to a barn east of Melby Tuesday night.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about the fire at 8:39 p.m.
When firefighters arrived at the scene near the intersections of County Road 1 and County Road 24, they found the building on fire.
The barn, which was primarily used for storage, sustained significant damage, according to the sheriff’s office. The cause is undetermined.
Assisting at the scene were the fire departments from Evansville and Dalton.
