Boys' basketball: Minnewaska drops regular season finale by one

Minnewaska’s final regular season game came up short as the Laker boys fell to Breckenridge 62-61 in non-conference action last Friday night.

The Lakers trailed by two at the half, and couldn’t make quite enough headway to pull off the win.

Blake Johnsrud led Minnewaska with 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and seven steals, while Austin Giese added 15 points and Austin Ostrander had 12.

Minnewaska now faces New London-Spicer in the opening round of the Section 6AA tournament tomorrow, Thursday, at 7 p.m. on the road.
