Letter - Demanded apologies are empty

The true colors of Representative Mary Franson from Alexandria are showing clearly in her video that was posted on the Minnesota House Republican Caucus YouTube site Friday.

To the editor:

The true colors of Representative Mary Franson from Alexandria are showing clearly in her video that was posted on the Minnesota House Republican Caucus YouTube site Friday.

It is a disgrace to our state that elected officials would actually post video of such derogatory, vile and hateful comments comparing people who rely on food stamps to wild animals being fed in parks. There are calls for Representative Franson to make an apology.

Earlier this week, Rush Limbaugh made horrendous comments about women on his radio talk show. There have been calls for his apology and sponsors are pulling their advertisements.

Haven't we heard enough? Demanded apologies are empty and meaningless. An apology is not enough! As a just and civilized society this kind of public behavior can be tolerated no longer.
