Card boys' basketball: Alexandria falls to Rocori, Fergus Falls

Austin Storm’s 13 points were not enough to lead the Alexandria boys’ basketball team to a win in a 52-40 game at Rocori last Thursday night.

The Spartans put three players in double figures, led by Jonah Eisenschenk’s 17. Nate Meyer had 12 points and Mac Mueller 11 as Rocori opened things up in the second half.

The Cardinals used some man-to-man and zone to keep the Spartans off balance in the first half. The two teams went into the break tied at 25 apiece before the Spartans adjusted in the second half and outscored the Cardinals 27-15.

Alexandria also lost a 67-55 contest to Fergus Falls Friday night in Central Lakes Conference action. No details were available at press time.
