Zion School sets kindergarten roundup

Zion Lutheran School in Alexandria has scheduled a kindergarten roundup for Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. Parents and their children are invited to attend.

The roundup is an opportunity to meet the kindergarten teacher and aide, tour the facilities and receive information about Zion’s kindergarten program.

While parents talk with the teacher, the children will meet in the kindergarten room to engage in activities planned especially for them.

Zion’s kindergarten program is unique in that it is still a part-time, Monday, Wednesday, Friday full-day program. Hours for the class are 7:50 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The class is taught by a certified teacher with the assistance of a full-time aide. Bussing to and from school for School District 206 residents is provided by the school district.

Registration information packets are available at the school, 300 Lake Street, or by calling (320) 763-4842 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first time registration for 2012-2013 will be accepted is at the roundup event. Registrations can also be brought to the school during office hours beginning March 16.
