Major General Richard Nash to speak in St Cloud

Major General Richard C. Nash, Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard, will be speaking in St Cloud on Friday, March 23 as the Special Guest Speaker at the 8th Annual St Cloud Area Friends of Scouting Leadership Breakfast.

Nash, Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard, will be speaking in St. Cloud on Friday, March 23 as the Special Guest Speaker at the 8th Annual St Cloud Area Friends of Scouting Leadership Breakfast. The event will be held from 7 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at the St. Cloud Holiday Inn.

General Nash’s military service began with his enlistment into the Infantry in 1972. Since his commission as a Second Lieutenant, he has commanded at all levels, from company to multinational divisions. He most recently completed a deployed assignment as Commander, United States Division, South supporting Operation Iraq Freedon in 2010.

The 8th Annual Event has featured speakers such as Former Governor Tim Pawlenty, Ron Schara of Minnesota Boud, Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General John W Vessey, Jr, among others. Attendance has averaged more than 150 people and more than $15,000 has been raised in support of local area Scouting programs.
