Alexandria's Kris Aaseng earned a fourth place finish in the 500 free at the State Class A swimming and diving meet at the Aquatic Center on the University of Minnesota campus Saturday. He also added an eighth place finish in the 200 free.
Aaseng swam a 4:51.69 for his fourth as Tanner Alms of Red Wing captured the individual championship with a time of 4:41.10.
In the 200 free, Aaseng swam a 1:47.76. Paul Flair of Monticello set a new Class A record as he finished first in 1:40.75.
The Cardinal 400 free relay team of Eric Moe, Zach Cahlin, Austin McCulloch and Aaseng was 15th in the consolations with a time of 3:26.07.
