The Alexandria girls' basketball team has postponed its opening round game of the Section 8AAA tournament against Sauk Rapids-Rice until this Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Cardinals were scheduled to welcome in the Storm tonight, but the winter storm that is expected to hit the area this afternoon has delayed things across the entire section.
The postponement won't affect the semifinal games scheduled for this weekend. With a win on Thursday, Alexandria would play the winner of Thief River Falls and Detroit Lakes this Saturday night at 7:30 at St. Cloud State University.
