The Osakis girls’ basketball team held Eagle Valley to just eight points in the first half on Tuesday and ran away with a 60-22 win over the Rebels.
“A solid win for the girls tonight,” head coach Pat Kalpin said. “For the most part, we played aggressively, rebounded well and shot the ball well. A good overall game for the girls.”
Osakis got balanced scoring from up and down its lineup. Annalise Savageau had nine points in the second half and 14 for the game. Mariah Backes added 11 on a night when 10 players scored in all for the Silverstreaks.
“Some of the girls are stepping up at the right time of the season,” Kalpin said. “We still have things to work on, but from where we started at the beginning of the season to now, the girls have improved. We will continue to work hard and play our best as the season goes on.”
The win moved Osakis to 15-9 overall and 12-3 in the Prairie Conference.
