Alexandria boys' hockey set to host Willmar in section tourney
The second-seeded Alexandria boys' hockey team will host seventh-seeded Willmar tomorrow night, Tuesday, in the second round of the Section 6A tournament.
The visiting Cardinals won their first-round game against Wadena-Deer Creek 10-1 on Saturday. Alexandria beat Willmar twice in the regular season, including a 7-3 win the last time these two teams played on January 19. The winner of this game moves on to the section semifinals on Saturday in St. Cloud against the winner of Fergus Falls and Breckenridge-Wahpeton.
The puck is scheduled to drop at 7 p.m. at the Runestone Community Center tomorrow.
