New salon and spa open in Alexandria

Bombshells Salon and Spa, a brand new, full service spa, is now open. Located in the Broadway Business Center, service providers Rachel Coler, Laurie Prendergast, and Becky Sletto specialize in procedures to help bring out the bombshell in you; whether you’re ready for a new look, a fresh start or simply to relax.

Located in the Broadway Business Center, service providers Rachel Coler, Laurie Prendergast, and Becky Sletto specialize in procedures to help bring out the bombshell in you; whether you’re ready for a new look, a fresh start or simply to relax.

Rachel Coler, a licensed salon manager, received her training in cosmetology from Ridgewater College in Willmar. She has attended master classes in Minneapolis, Red Wing and Chicago, keeping her on the cutting edge of industry standards and style trends. She specializes in hair care, with attention to wedding and special event styling.

Laurie Prendergast, a four-year professional, attended the Spa Luna Holistic School on the island of Maui in Hawaii. Her training on the island has given her a special attention to skin health and relaxation. She practices a wide variety of skin-care procedures, including microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and customized skin therapy. She also performs eyelash extensions, using the latest in mink and color-enhanching lashes, to bring out the best in your eyes.

Becky Sletto, a licensed salon manager, studied cosmetology and massage therapy at MSCTC in Wadena. Focusing on spa services, Sletto has been a certified body sugarist for eight years. She concentrates on full-body care, from natural nail services like manicures and pedicures, to full body massage.

Bombshells Salon and Spa is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 to 7, and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The phone number is (320) 759-2002.
