Down 38-22, the Minnewaska wrestlers got a pin and a pair of forfeit victories to defeat Browerville/Eagle Valley 40-38 Friday.

The Lakers got wins by pin from Joseph Weaver at 113 pounds, Caleb Blaisdell at 126 pounds, Zach Steffensen at 152 pounds and Brad Jacobs at 195 pounds.

They also earned a victory from Taylor Lundebrek at 170 with a major decision.

Garret Scherr earned second place at 220 pounds to lead the Silverstreak wrestlers to seventh place at the annual Albany Purple Pride Invitational Friday.

Cody Adolphsen (195) and Derek Carlson (285) were third, and Austin Rollage (145) and Brandon Spanswick (170) finished fourth.
