Card girls' basketball: Alexandria runs over St. Cloud Apollo

The Cardinal girls’ basketball team ran all over St. Cloud Apollo 67-29 for its seventh straight win to move to 18-3 overall and 12-2 in the Central Lakes Conference.

Alexandria committed a season low six turnovers and was never really challenged in this one. The Cardinals led 42-8 at the break before coasting to the win in the second half.

Lauren Trumm had 21 points and four steals. Kalli Bowser had 12 points, Amanda Christianson 11, Whitney Gesell nine and Cara Wood dished out seven assists.

The Cardinals were scheduled to be on the road for the last time during the regular season last night, Thursday, when they went to Detroit Lakes. Alexandria will be back at home for Senior Night tonight against Rocori before wrapping up the regular season against Fergus Falls next Thursday.
