Lakes Area Rec offers dog training class

Lifetime learning experiences are as important for the canine family members as for the human members. Donna Rae Pugh and two experienced volunteers provide some of this continuing education for the canine family members by conducting a series of dog obedience classes.

Each series of classes runs for six consecutive weeks and each weekly session has a separate kindergarten class for puppies and another class for adult dogs. Only “gentle and reward” training methods are used.

Basic dog training classes are held Mondays starting February 20 through March 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lakes Area Recreation Gym.

Also offered is Rally Dog Obedience and Volunteer with Dogs Training by Holly Bushard for six weeks on Wednesday evenings, February 22 through March 28.
