Alpine skiing: Brink is on to state for Lakes Area

Senior Wolfgang Brink finished 16th overall in the Section 5 Alpine skiing championships at Afton Alps last Thursday to earn a spot in the State Alpine Ski meet today, Wednesday.

Brink helped lead the Lakes Area Alpine boys’ ski team to an eighth place overall finish in the 20-team field.

He will ski today at 10 a.m., with the second run beginning at 1 p.m.
