Card boys' basketball: Alexandria falls to Storm, tops Lumberjacks
The Cardinal boys split their basketball action on the road over the weekend, falling to Sauk Rapids-Rice Friday 75-68, then topping Bemidji 62-58 one day later.
Alexandria held a six-point halftime lead against the Storm, but a 44-point second half by Sauk Rapids-Rice overcame that deficit.
John Vogeler had 20 points to lead the Cardinals in the loss, with Austin Storm scoring 15 and Logan Doyle adding 12.
Saturday, the Redbirds found themselves down by five at the half to the Lumberjacks, but Vogeler’s 11 second-half points helped propel the Cards to the win.

Alexandria is 8-10 this season and will be hosting St. Cloud Tech tomorrow, Thursday, then see Moorhead come to town on Saturday.
